Anyone can call themselves a trainer. We check.
The good certificates are real and the registries behind them exist. Almost none of it is visible to the person deciding who to trust with their body. That person is left reading claims and guessing which ones would survive a phone call.
What we check
Reputick checks a trainer’s credentials against the source, then says plainly what was done. Every credential on a profile carries one of four labels, and the fourth exists to say that a credential is self-declared and has not been checked.
We keep that fourth label visible, because a page showing only the strong ones is hiding something. A stronger label means a stronger check of the record. It is never a rating of the person.
What a check cannot prove
We would rather state the limits than let anyone assume them away. Confirming a certificate proves a matching record exists. It does not prove the holder is competent today, or safe, or good at the job.
We verify a trainer’s email and require the name on the credential to match the name on the profile. We do not run government-ID checks, so we have not eliminated the risk of someone using another person’s name.
That sentence is on the site because it is true, not because it is comfortable.
Conduct is a separate question
A credential says what someone studied. It says nothing about how they behave in a session. So trainers publish eight commitments in their own name, covering performance-enhancing drugs, scope of practice, referral, injury history, commercial disclosure and what they will not promise.
Reputick has not independently monitored compliance during this alpha, and every profile says so.
How we are paid
What a business earns from shapes what it is tempted to hide, so it is worth being blunt.
- No commission on anything a trainer sells.
- Clients pay nothing and need no account.
- An enquiry goes to the one trainer it was addressed to, and nowhere else.
- Results are ordered by fit to what was asked for, never by payment and never by credential level.
Who is building it
Reputick is built by a small founding team with working experience across the fitness industry and technology.
It is a small alpha in Bengaluru. Small because checking credentials properly is slow, and we would rather be slow than claim a scale we have not earned. What is on the site is what is built. When something has not been checked, the page will tell you that.
Something on a profile looks wrong? Report a concern. What we do with your data is set out in the privacy notice.
